Day 1: Depart USA


Day 2: En Route
Fly over the International Dateline on your way to Sydney, Australia (cost of flight not included in Land Only price).

Day 3: Arrive in Sydney, Australia
Your tour begins at Sydney Airport. You will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy time at leisure to explore this beautiful city. Perhaps take a walk down to the historic Rocks district and Circular Quay for views of the sparkling harbor. Maybe visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales or take a trip to Sydney's Northern Beaches. This evening meet your Tour Director and traveling companions for a Welcome Drink.

Day 4: Sydney Sightseeing
This morning, take a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House and a cruise on Sydney Harbour. After, board your coach to see the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, Watson's Bay and the Gap. Then, it's off to famous Bondi Beach for an iconic Australian experience. You'll be greeted by a local surf lifeguard before a “You're Personally Invited” Lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen's Club, with its amazing views over the Pacific Ocean. Your host will take you on an exclusive tour through Australia's oldest surf lifeguard club to learn about the history of Bondi and surf lifesaving. When you return to the city you will have the opportunity to discover Australia's national gemstone – the opal. To see Sydney from above, take the climb of your life on the optional Sydney Harbour “BridgeClimb.” Ask your Tour Director for details. (B,PI)

Day 5: Sydney at Leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure in this exciting city. Use your included Hop-On-Hop-Off sightseeing ticket, giving you the freedom and flexibility to get around the city. Perhaps take an optional excursion to view the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves or travel to the Hunter Valley, New South Wales' premier wine growing region, for a wineries tour. (B)

Day 6: Sydney / Uluru (Ayers Rock)
You will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your flight to Uluru (cost not included in Land Only price). Late this afternoon, travel to the sunset viewing area. Witness the striking color changes of Uluru as the sun sets and enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. (B)

Day 7: Uluru & Kata Tjuta Excursion
Watch as the first rays of dawn set Uluru and the Red Centre aglow. Travel by coach to the Rock's base, where your guide will take you on a walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, explaining the natural features of the landscape, the Aboriginal rock paintings and traditional Aboriginal stories relating to this special place. Then visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), 36 massive domes of red conglomerate rock, and walk through Walpa Gorge, the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes. Later, enjoy a glass of complimentary sparkling wine as the sun sets at Kata Tjuta. (B)

Day 8: Uluru / Cairns
Take time to relax this morning before you board your flight to Cairns (cost not included in Land Only price). This afternoon you'll encounter unique Australian animals at the Cairns Wildlife Dome. (B)

Day 9: Great Barrier Reef Excursion
Board a high speed catamaran for a fun day at the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a reef education presentation by a marine naturalist. Then, snorkel in the underwater paradise and view this natural living wonder with its colorful coral and tropical fish (equipment provided). Next, visit the underwater observatory and take a ride in the semisubmersible vessel. Savor a Highlight Lunch before returning to Cairns. Your evening is at leisure. (B,HL)

Day 10: Cairns at Leisure
A full day at leisure in this tropical paradise. Perhaps take an optional excursion on the famous Kuranda Railway or return to the lowlands by the Skyrail Cableway above the Barron Gorge National Park. Maybe visit the award-winning Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, or, if nature's your thing, take a tour to Cape Tribulation or catch a ferry across the Daintree River and visit the Environmental Centre. This evening, join your Tour Director and newfound friends for a festive Farewell Dinner. (B,FD)

Day 11: Depart Cairns
